God always has ways of drawing the attention of His people to the purposes He has for their lives.

Despite the rebellious attitude of the Israelites, God established His supremacy in the choice of Aaron so that they would forever keep quiet and stop complaining.

We must understand that God's favour upon a person causes him to do great and unequal things amongst his equals; he could even lead people who are older and more exposed than him.

Proverbs 3:5: Trust in the Lord.
Psalm 37:4-6: Commit Your Way to the Lord.
Romans 8:28: All Things Work Together For Good.

The staff of Aaron budded and the people were very scared. But they pleaded that their lives to be spared and committed themselves to the supremacy of the will of God.

Biblical research revealed a learning of the above topic through Moses in Numbers 17:1-13. Below is the testimony on the necessity of following the ways of God.

The Lord told Moses,"Speak to the Israelites and get twelve staffs from them, one from the leader of each of their ancestral tribes. Write the name of each man on his staff.

On the staff of Levi write Aaron's name, for there must be one staff for the head of each ancestral tribe then place them in the tent of meeting in front of the ark of the covenant law, where I meet with you.

The staff belonging to the man I choose will sprout, and I will rid myself of this constant grumbling against you by the Israelites." So, Moses spoke to the Israelites, and their leaders gave him twelve staffs, one for the leader of each of their ancestral tribes, and Aaron's staff was among them.

In accordance to the word of God, Moses placed the staffs before the Lord in the tent of the covenant law, then the next day Moses entered the tent and saw that Aaron's staff, which represented the tribe of Levi, had not only sprouted but had budded, blossomed and produced almonds.

Moses later brought out all the staffs from the Lord's presence to all the Israelites. They looked at them, and each of the leaders took his own staff.

The Lord said to Moses, "Put back Aaron's staff in front of the ark of the covenant law, to be kept as a sign to the rebellious. This will put an end to their grumbling against me, so that they will not die."

On Biblical note, Moses did just as the Lord commanded him to and the Israelites said to Moses, "We will die! We are lost, we are all lost!Anyone who even comes near the tabernacle of the Lord will die. Are we all going to die?"

Conclusively, we must learn to follow the will of God even when that does not appear to be what need.

PRAYER: The Trinity, Help me to be submissive to Your leading in my life, even when that does not appear to be what i need, in Jesus name. Amen. Pray the above.

You shall render thanksgiving songs in Jesus' Mighty Name! Amen!".
